Past event
Oct 13, 5:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Oct 15, 2017

This evening's FREE event with a presentation and pies by Chef Omar Tate at the historic Barn House is nearly "sold" out, but a few places are still available for his cooking, culture and conversation classes this weekend. Learn about African American culinary history while you learn how to make one of these three delicious pies:

This Saturday, October 14 2 pm - 4 pm: Sweet potato pie!
This Sunday October 15 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Bean pie!
Also this Sunday October 15 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Minced pork pie (perfect to bring home to the family right in time for dinner)!

Chef Omar Tate is visiting the Clemmons Family Farm from his home New York to share samples of his pies as well as some of his knowledge and personal reflections on the place of pies in African American history and culture. Learn more and sign up here: http://bit.ly/ChefOmarontheFarm

Hope to see you soon at the Farm!
