This Saturday, October 14, after you recover from the Apple Pie Festival, the regular 2nd Saturday Cabot contra and square dance will feature a special caller: the renowned Dudley Laufman, from Canterbury, New Hampshire, who has been calling contra, square, and barn dances for 65 years, and has been designated at NEA National Heritage Fellow. Famous for his dry wit, and his ability to get everyone dancing with a minimum of fuss, he rarely calls in Vermont, so take advantage of this great opportunity to dance to his calling! The dance starts at 7:30, with a beginner session at 7:15, if you want a few pointers beforehand. Everyone welcome--all ages, all abilities! Enjoy the newly-refinished floor at the Willey Building! And there will be Cabot and Jasper Hill cheese and Burtt’s cider for all to enjoy!
Please make this dance part of your monthly routine! Community dancing needs the support of the community or it fades away. Join us and help make the dance happen!
