The October 10 meeting has changed its time this month. The meeting of the St Albans Parkinson’s Support Group will be held at Homestead, a Pillsbury senior Community located at 3 Harbor View Drive, St Albans. The meeting will be held in the conference room, next to the library on the first floor. Meeting time is set from 9 am to 10:30 am. There is no charge for this meeting. There is wheel chair accessibility.
Scheduled topic: Bob Rosseau, a Tai Chi and Karate instructor for 30 + years. He will be at Duke’s Fitness Center in St. Albans at 11 that day for those who may want to follow up.
The group is open to those with the disease, their caregivers including family and loved ones as well as those wanting to learn about this disease. The monthly meetings can provide an open forum to share experiences with others who are coping with the illness, gain education and support as well as provide recommendations for dealing with the day-to-day care. Participants can learn from each other, meet new people, have discussions, and listen to presentations.
