Peruvian Weaving Traditions at Grange

As part of its current exhibit, Fabric of Our Lives, the Grange Hall Cultural Center is pleased to present Melanie Ebert as she shares a colorful slideshow, textiles, and discussion of traditions of the indigenous culture of Peru.

“Preserving Craft and Culture On Heirloom Weaving at a Time,”
Wednesday, October 4 @ 7:30pm in the Grange Hall, 317 Howard Avenue, Waterbury Center.

Melanie Ebertz is a textile designer who has been working closely with the Quechua weaving community since the mid-1980s, and is founder of ArtAndes, a textile travel business focused on the Andean region of Peru. Ms Ebertz will walk us through the heights of the Andes to the depths of the Quechua culture.

This talk is free and open to the public, light refreshments served.
