Sharing this workshop announcement I received recently from Vermont Coverts: Woodlands for Wildlife. This program is not to encourage or discourage hunting. Just an opportunity to get the facts about access and get your questions answered.
HUNTER ACCESS SEMINAR FOR VERMONT LANDOWNERS
Thursday, October 5th
6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Ilsely Public Library, Middlebury
Join VT Coverts and the VT Fish & Wildlife Department for a program geared for landowners to learn more about and understand your options on managing hunter access. Hunting can be a valuable tool for private land conservation but managing hunters can be intimidating. During the program you will be introduced to who hunters are and what hunting is and is not; review landowner rights and the laws and regulations that govern hunting; and provide a forum to discuss concerns about hunters or hunting on your property.
