We know you’ve been stockpiling your old furniture, mattresses, home renovation waste, and large plastic toys all season! This Saturday your wait is over. These and other bulky trash will be collected at the Barre Town Public Works yard at 129 Websterville Road from 8am to 2pm, so even if you have a conflict in the morning there are still a couple of afternoon hours of the service available to you.
For details on accepted materials and fees, see your August newsletter, page 7, or click here: http://www.barretown.org/departments/solid_waste/bulk_trash_collection.php.
If you have questions about any unlisted materials call the Town Manager's Office at 479-9331.
As long time Bulk Trashers know, an organization that provides volunteers at Bulk Trash can then collect donations from users. This fall the organization is Barre Town’s Cemetery Commission, which stewards our historic town cemeteries, including by tackling special projects such as the restoration of the increasingly rare example of a cast iron cemetery fence and gate at Maplewood Cemetery, and the rededication of the oldest known grave marker in Barre Town - check out WPTZ's coverage of the ceremony here: http://www.mynbc5.com/article/what-s-in-a-name-a-piece-of-history-with-ties-an-early-barre-r[...]899.
