Monday August 14, Transition Town Jericho, Steering Meeting, Jericho Town Library, 5:30pm

Transition Town Jericho team is meeting to continue its effort in formulating an initiative for resiliency within the Town of Jericho and surrounding areas. As a new group we are in the early stages of development, and hope that you would come to this planning meeting to help us build ideas and energy. Our immediate goals are as follows: forming/solidifying an initiating group, raising awareness, partnering with other groups, launching small projects. Hope you can join us!

Why Transition?
We are living in an age of unprecedented change, with a number of crises converging. Climate change, global economic instability, overpopulation, erosion of community, declining biodiversity, and resource wars, have all stemmed from the availability of cheap, non-renewable fossil fuels. These are big statements and we are but a little town in Vermont. Transitions Jericho is a grassroots community initiatives that seeks to build community resilience in the face of such challenges.
