New Rain Date for Basketball Tournament

Past event
Aug 26, 2017, 2 to 6 PM

We hope this email finds you well. Unfortunately, due to tomorrow’s weather forecast we have rescheduled the basketball tournament to August 26th, 2017 at Roosevelt Park from 2-6pm. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you or your organization.

As you may all be aware, this Basketball Tournament is a multi-youth organization collaboration to support and provide positive space/outlets for youth. The tournament also highlights the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) initiative that the City of Burlington adopted in 2016. MBK Burlington aims to align the community efforts to close the opportunity gaps that youth of color face, particularly young men of color. This upcoming year, the CEDO AmeriCorps program is proud to focus its goals with Burlington’s MBK initiative. CEDO AmeriCorps aim is to provide collective responses to pressing community issues, keeping youth on track and safe, promoting healthy lifestyles, accessing employment and educational opportunities, as well as creating system changes with youth to be successful leaders.

Registration is still ongoing for participating teams in the tournament, for middle schoolers – 24 years of age may register here. Attached is the updated flyer for the event. Please share with your networks.

We hope that you can still come on August 26th at Roosevelt Park!

Thank You for your support!
