Good Afternoon,
The City of South Burlington invites you to participate in our Fall Weed Warrior Training event on April 29th. We will be teaching volunteers how to identify and properly remove invasive plants in City Center Park (end of Iby Street - parking along Iby Street).
We are also asking volunteers to join us on September 9th for our Fall Invasive Plant Removal Day at City Center Park. This event will be solely dedicated to removal of buckthorn, bush honeysuckle, and multiflora rose that is found at the park.
Both events will run from 9 am - 12 pm. Please wear good sturdy shoes (boots preferable), long pants, long sleeves (or layers), a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. The City will be handing out gloves, but feel free to bring your own if you have a pair you prefer. There will be some refreshments, but we recommend that you bring your own water bottle to have with you in the park.
