Colchester’s State Representative, Curt Taylor, would like you to join him on a tour of the Materials Recovery Facility in Williston to find out. This jaw-dropping, Willy-Wonka-style recycling factory processes a bin and a half of recyclables a second! It's owned by the Chittenden Solid Waste District, and it's there where your recyclables are sorted and prepared for the next leg of their journey: the global marketplace! You'll come away with an understanding of how recycling happens and an appreciation of the recycling system. Space is limited and registration is required.
