Conversation About Israel/Palestine

Hello friends

During the past week,I've stood with a sign at the intersection of Main and State st in Montpelier.
The sign shares an aspect from my experience of living in Israel/Palestine for twenty years and serving in a combat unit in the Israeli military.
Countless people came to speak with me.What I learned, was that this community holds many points of view and feelings on the matter and many very interested to talk with someone who has an actual experience from their rather then another opinion.
I decided to invite our community to come join me in conversation.I Will share for the first time my story of growing up in the west bank settlements during the time of the "Intifada",and later joining a combat unit that had much active duty in the west bank and Gaza.
.I STAND WITH NO SIDE OF THIS CONFLICT BUT THE SIDE OF COMPASSION AND PEACE.
I hope that perhaps through sharing my story, from a balanced point of view,a testimony,we can together better understand the complexity of the human condition in that reality.
After I share, people will be welcome to ask questions, and I will do my best to offer relevant information, thoughts or feelings.

The event will take place at the Unitarian Church on Sunday august 6th,at 6:30 p.m.
