Just wanted to remind everyone that the Montpelier Business Association has partnered with the Montpelier Food Pantry for a downtown summer food drive - the need is great right now, and this is an easy way to help out area families!
The pantry is in need of:
Peanut butter
Jam / Jelly
Tuna
Cereal
Tomato sauce (they have plenty of pasta)
Salad dressing (they get fresh greens donated from local farmers!)
Condiments
Personal care items (toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, tampons)
Cloth bags
Coffee & Tea
(Please no baby food)
Drop your items off at Bear Pond Books, 77 Main Street, during store hours (check www.bearpondbooks.com) through this Sunday, July 30. The goal is to fill the window! Then, on Sunday at 4:00 pm we will take the food down to the Montpelier Food Pantry, located in the basement of Trinity United Methodist Church.
So rummage through your pantries or add one extra jar of peanut butter to your shopping list, and give a little to the drive. This really is an easy way to help take care of each other. Thanks, neighbors!
