April Smith teaches an introduction to Yin Yoga, accessible to all bodies and experience levels. Yin is a quieter practice, working our “yin” tissues: fascia, connective tissue and joint sites of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin yoga, characterized by long held, passive floor postures, is a more contemplative style of yoga, Yin enhances mobility, opens and replenishes the body’s energetic pathways, and cultivates mindfulness and inner stillness.
