Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes with the Johnson Conservation Commission
Stop by the Johnson Conservation Commission's tent at Tuesday Night Live this week, July 11, with your children and try your hand at making Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes. We'll have a variety of natural materials available to play and build with - sticks, bark, stones, acorns, pinecones, etc - for you to make temporary abodes under our tent for the wee folk. Feel free to bring any natural materials of your own to donate to the cause - just nothing still living - the fairies and gnomes are stewards of the earth. Wearing fairy wings or gnome hats and dressing for the occasion is also encouraged!
At the end of the night we'll pack up the raw materials to bring to the Fairy Forest at Journey's End. Head down there anytime to build fairy houses and enjoy the swimming hole. We'll be also be hosting a hike and fairy house workshop there on Saturday, July 15 from 9:30 -11:30. More info on that in another post!
