Upon Andrew’s passing this past November, the Andrew Godaire Memorial Grant Program was established at UVMMC in his memory. Andrew was a vibrant, fun loving, smart and passionate young man. He found his niche and his second family at the University of Vermont Medical Center, working in Dermatology as a medical assistant. Andrew’s passion for things such as the outdoors, silk screen printing and making people laugh transcended into his work ethic where he showed compassion and care towards every individual he encountered, offering a genuine smile and ensuring that their experience was nothing short of exceptional. The same way he lived his life.
Consistent with Andrew’s passion to help others, this program provides Grant support to Medical Assistants desiring to enhance their knowledge in the field of medial assisting or to continue their formal education towards a degree. The Andrew Godaire Memorial Grant Program will annually award a Grant of $1,000.00.
There is a golf tournament to help raise funds for the scholarship program. The tournament is August 10th and will be held at the West Bolton Golf Club, registration is at 8am, shotgun start at 9 am. For anyone wishing to participate, green fees, cart and a BBQ is $85 +tax per player. If you would like to attend the BBQ only the cost is $20+tax per person.
We are looking for silent auction items to be displayed and bid on at the event, a themed gift basket, gift cards etc. If you would like to participate in the tournament, the link for the eventbrite invitation is https://acgmemorialgolftournament.eventbrite.com. You can register as a single player, a twosome, threesome or foursome. The link also provides the ability to just make a donation as well.
We are also offering hole sponsorships for $400 +tax which includes green fees for 4 and the BBQ and signage at one of the holes on the course. I am also looking for a hole in one sponsor as well.
