The women and men of the Argyle Fire Department and volunteers are making final preparations to host our annual 4th of July chicken barbeque at the fire house on Route 40 starting at approximately Noon. As in recent years, a meal consists of a half barbequed chicken (cooked over open pit charcoal fires) with a dinner roll, potato salad, baked beans and drink and costs $10. If you want just a half chicken, that can be purchased for $5. Much of the monies raised are used to provide funding to the Argyle 4th of July Parade Committee so that the community's wonderful 4th of July parade can continue in the years to come.
