Fruit Tree Sale!

Dear Fruit Lovers!

I am holding a fall fruit tree sale, to share my work in the winter of 2011. I spent weeks next to the wood stove hand grafting each tree.* After three summers of tending the trees, spraying compost teas and weeding my babies, they are ready to go out in the world! I have 44 varieties of Apples and approximately 10 varieties of Pears to share. About 150 trees, so act fast. You can read about the varieties on my website www.nectaree.jimdo.com Or I am more than happy to select a variety that suits your needs, just tell me what your looking for by email.

Fall is a great time to plant because your trees will establish themselves firmly in the earth. Even though the top of the tree stops growing as it gets colder, the earth maintains its warmth and the tree roots continue growing into the late fall. This means that by springtime, your tree will be well anchored to gather soil nutrients and grow strong!

I am offering trees at $50. This is what I generally charge in the spring, so this means these trees have had a whole extra growing season. Trees are 4-6 feet tall, before being pruned, and have a diameter of up to half an inch, they are what we call ready for planting! (see picture below)
They are perfect for a side yard, home orchard, or as a gift! If you don't already have another apple or pear tree, it is recommended to plant two to three varieties for the best pollination results.
Also have 2-3' trees for sale, $20 per tree, $15 if you purchase 10 or more. In this size I have the Bethel Apple, Mileton Apple (grafted from a local tree that is thriving), and more than eighty more unique and heirloom varieties of apples, pears, and asian pears. Contact me at Patricksullivan1983@gmail.com for more information or to place an order.

You can buy trees online, or email me to reserve trees. I can either ship trees in the mail, for an added fee, or we can arrange for a pickup or drop-off in Vermont or outside Philadelphia, depending on your location. All trees must go before November 20th! The sale of these trees is helping us create a service project in rural El Salvador, read more on the website. http://nectaree.jimdo.com/chantunan-project/
