On Monday, June 19th, from 6 - 8:30 pm at Old Schoolhouse Common in Marshfield, the Friends of the Winooski River will host a workshop for private road and driveway owners. Participants will learn about practical and low-cost best management practices that reduce erosion, protect water quality, and save money on road repairs. If you are a property owner and believe your road segment or driveway has an impact on a nearby stream, you may be eligible for technical and cost share assistance. The event is co-hosted by the Cabot, Marshfield, and Plainfield Conservation Commissions and the Plainfield Resiliency Committee with funding from the Lake Champlain Basin Program. An RSVP to info@winooskiriver.org is appreciated. This workshop was previously held in Calais last year and was well received by those that attended.
