Artist in Residence is an artist owned and run cooperative gallery in St. Albans. It is time for the monthly reception at the Artist in Residence, 10 South Main Street, St. Albans. The reception (with snacks) is on Thursday, June 1st from 4:30 to 7pm. The featured artists are:
• Donna Blatchly makes one-of-a-kind knit and felted hand bags and has expanded her techniques to include such items as bowls and bangle bracelets. In addition to fiber arts, Donna creates unique imagery using pebbles and other found objects.
• Mylissa Kowalski Davis has always had a connection with the outdoors, and nature is a constant inspiration in her work. After receiving an art degree in medical illustration, she moved to Seattle where she became immersed in the beautiful scenery of the area. Her recent move to Vermont has allowed her to continue to portray this common thread of nature's beauty.
• Leeza Mossey's interest in art began in her childhood. She has continued to study watercolor and oil painting, and has recently begun to add oil pastels to her repertoire. Any subject that catches her attention may eventually be conveyed on canvas.
• Cindy Griffith has created art all her life, beginning with her artist father's influence and training. Over the years she has been active in arts organizations and has exhibited her pastel, oil, and acrylic paintings in many venues.

June is a special month full of “special occasions” from graduation, weddings, and Father’s Day as well as the usual complement of birthdays and anniversaries. Do stop in to find the perfect gift while enjoying light refreshments and good conversation..
