A new kids' play theater has just popped up in downtown Bethel. This small, portable theater stage has turned a formerly vacant space into a vibrant place for play. It will officially launch on Saturday, May 20 with a stop from the Arts Bus, which will offer free kids' improv theater and mask-making activities from 1-3 PM during Bethel Beautification Day. All are welcome to stop by anytime and play. The theater will stay in this pilot location into June, and will then be available for use by other organizations and events. This project was a winner in the national Play Everywhere competition, and free plans will be available online next month for anyone who wants to build their own.
