Join the Winooski Planning Commission for a special meeting Thursday, May 4th at 6:00pm, in the Claire Burke Chambers at City Hall. A discussion regarding the Municipal Planning Grant awarded to the City of Winooski will take place. The grant, awarded by the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development, hires a consultant to help our community develop plans to improve the commercial vitality of the downtown and gateways, add more housing options, and increase employment opportunities for City residents. This meeting will be the kick-off meeting to begin the project, and an opportunity to acquaint the consultants with Winooski’s unique strengths as well as a communal vision for our economic future. Community members are invited to attend the special meeting of the Planning Commission to learn more about the project and to help the consultant to understand Winooski’s economic needs for the future!
