Anima is a women's ensemble of local singers. Anima was founded in 1988 by Elizabeth Thompson and has performed in many churches and venues in central and northern Vermont as well as recorded two cds. The Cabot United Church will host Anima on Sunday, May 7th at 4:00 PM.

Anima offers Medieval, Renaissance, and traditional music for the coming of spring! From the soaring chants of Hildegard von Bingen to the complex music of Dufay, the music celebrates the green and fertile earth, the springing forth of new life, the fragrance of lilies and roses. Other composers include Lasso, and Allegri, as well as anonymous composers.

Anima will be joined by members of the Fyre and Lightning Consort for portions of the program.
