Location: 1% For the Planet
Are you wondering how to use your skills, ideas, instincts, and energy to address the climate crisis? It can feel overwhelming and confusing to know where and how to engage? What can I do that will make the most impact and what’s the best use of my time - these are questions that haunt most of us working for change. This 1.5hr workshop is a chance to explore these questions and support each other as we each find our own answers about where we are going to plug in and why.

What is Climate Justice?
Time: 4:30 - 5:30pm
Location: Solidarity of Unbridled Labour, conference room
Do you hear this term and wonder what it means? Or, more specifically, what it means in the context of Vermont? What are “front-line communities” and how does your work as an advocate, artist, activist, citizen, parent, community member relate? This hour long workshop will help us all work through some of the origins and the many definitions of this term. We’ll look at the concept of justice within the environmental movement from a global, national, and local Vermont context and support each other as we think through our own roles within the movement of working towards climate justice.

Design Inventions for People of the Future

Our planet is changing and our weather is becoming more extreme. What does this mean for the people of the future? What will our lives look like in 50 years? Join a fun, interactive workshop in which we will imagine and create inventions to support daily life in the year 2067.
