The Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers classic “Top Hat” will be the feature on Friday, March 10, at 7:00, at the Maple Corner Community Center’s winter film series. Mistaken identity provides the excuse for sparkling dialogue and a score by Irving Berlin that includes “Cheek to Cheek,” “Isn’t This a Lovely Day” and “No Strings.” Roger Ebert said, “At a point when many dancers would be gasping for breath, Astaire and Rogers are smiling easily, heedlessly…To watch them is to see hard work elevated to effortless joy.” Film showings will be presented on the second Friday of each month through April, with an introduction and a post-film discussion led by Rick Winston. Admission is by donation.
