Volunteers with the Brattleboro Town Energy Committee will be surveying local residents about their energy habits near the entrance to the polls on Town Meeting Day on Tuesday, March 7. Energy Committee volunteers will be handing out free LED light bulbs on first come first serve basis and talking with residents about steps they can take to reduce their energy habits. Residents will also be introduced to the Community Energy Dashboard, an online tool developed to support the state’s goal of meeting 90% of its energy needs through increased efficiency and renewable sources by 2050. Please take a moment to download and fill out the survey in advance at http://bit.ly/energychecklist and drop it off at Town Meeting or return to the energy committee. You can also signup up and record your own actions at http://www.vtenergydashboard.org/register/.
