Come get to know the women candidates for Barre City Council at Simply Delicious on Thursday evening, on the first floor of the Blanchard Block adjacent to City Hall.

Get a glass of wine at the cash bar and meet candidates Sue Higby of Ward 1 and Azaliah Tillinghast of Ward 2.

Sue has lived in Barre City for 16 years and has worked in the heart of downtown Barre for more than 14 years. She has been an energizing force in revitalizing Barre through her professional life and volunteer activities. Sue is well known for “getting things done” and she looks forward to sharing her judgment, vision and extensive experience on the Barre City Council. (Ward 1)

Azaliah has lived in Barre City for 4 years and works as a Registered Nurse serving the local community at Central Vermont Medical Center. In her time here she has grown to love the City and looks forward to putting in the time and energy needed to create a brighter future for Barre. Azaliah brings initiative as well as passion and will address important issues such as property taxes, the prosperity of our small businesses, and the opioid crisis. (Ward 2)
