For those just starting out on their yogic journey, this workshop gives you an opportunity to ask questions and find answers in the company and support of other beginners. Starting a yoga practice can be a joyful, enriching experience and doesn’t have to be intimidating or stressful. You deserve to be happy!
Class time will start with a half hour warm up of gentle postures and meditation followed by a question, answer and discussion period and end with a half hour of gentle, restorative postures. During the Q & A we will explore the “answers” through the practice by embodying the question, taking the time to explore and practice together.
Ask anything you’d like! Yoga is a focused, spiritual way to approach your life and can lead to life-changing breakthroughs. Yoga practices stretch to all corners of life such as the better-known practices of postures (asana), breath work (pranayama) and meditation (dharana) from Patanjali’s Eight Yoga Sutras, the guiding principals of yoga. But what about finding time to practice or feeling uncomfortable or insecure about practicing with a group? What postures are good for a sore back, fatigue, and emotional upset or for simply staying grounded? How can yoga support eating habits or relationships? No question is unimportant if it impedes your practice.
