Did you know …
• Half of teens and over one-quarter of parents feel they're addicted to their mobile devices.
• Adolescent brains get tired: excessive use of screens could harm the physical development of young people’s brains, limit attention spans and have negative effects on learning.
• A third of parents are concerned that technology use is hurting their children's sleep.
• On any given day, 70 percent of boys are playing video games, and they play close to 2.5 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Many parents have concerns about their children's social media use and other
online activities. Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire
thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston
saw that with her own kids and learned that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day
looking at screens. In SCREENAGERS, Delaney takes a deeply personal approach as
she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore
struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction.
Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights
from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech
time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower
kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

Parents and adolescents don't want to miss learning about this important topic! Fine for 4th and 5th graders too!
