The VNA is looking for Professional Caregivers. As a caregiver you will help community members who need a variety of supports in their homes.
The VNA is offering free training to give you all the tools you will need to help your clients in their homes such as learning about infection control and body mechanics. The training is February 13 through February 17, 8am to 5pm. It continues the following week as paid orientation and mentoring, February 20 through February 22.
Working as a Professional Caregiver is a great way to gain valuable experience under the supervision of a licensed professional and meet some great people! The VNA is looking for people who can work in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.
Some of the things you will do as a Professional Caregiver include personal care, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers and assisting with mobility, as well as assisting with preparing meals, light housekeeping, and providing companionship.
There are opportunities for additional education to advance within the healthcare field and increase your salary.
Qualifications:
Great attitude and desire to help individuals in your community
Reliable transportation; driver's license
Successful completion of reference and background checks
