The Boy Scouts of Troop 690 will be doing a Bottle Drive on Saturday, January 7th... you can drop off bottles at the Vestry building by St. Jude's Church, or a friendly Boy Scout might stop by your house that day. Proceeds will benefit the Scout Troop. In addition to the yearly Pulled Pork Sandwich booth at the Independence Day celebration in July, the Scouts make and serve dinner at the Salvation Army in Burlington, help with local trail work, and complete service projects for various organizations. Our Troop has two young men working on Eagle Scout projects, and our older boys mentor younger Scouts, preparing them for leadership positions in the troop and community.
