UVM's David Neiweem, Professor of Music and Marian B. Coe University Organist, will be presenting three programs in the region. This Thursday, October 24, he will appear on Vermont Public Radio, playing live in the VPR studio as a guest of Walter Parker. This program will feature one of the jewels of the UVM collection, the 2001 Henk Klop portable pipe organ.

Sunday, October 27, at 4 p.m., he will play in Woodstock, Vermont, on the Whitney Organ Recital. The program takes place in the North Universalist Church, 7 Church St., Woodstock.

Thursday, October 31, finds our University Organist at his post, in Ira Allen Chapel, playing the annual Halloween Organ and Light Show. Doors open at 7, and the music starts at 7:30. Guests include the University Concert Choir and Catamount Singers.

These programs are all free and open to the public.

David Neiweem is a graduate of Oberlin College, and enjoys an active and varied career as performer and teacher of music. He has taught at the University of Vermont since 1982. He is in his 15th year as Music Director at First Congregational Church of Burlington, Vt.
