On Monday, November 4 at 7:00 PM, the HCS Board will host the annual school budget forum for the community. Each year, prior to the commencement of the budget development season, the board offers the opportunity for community members to hear about the status of our school and about the budget process. It is also an opportunity to provide your input on what our budget priorities should be. Babysitting will be available. The budget forum will be held in the flex space at HCS (next to the cafeteria).

As part of the school budget development, the HCS board has used "budget buddies" for the last several years. Budget buddies are Hinesburg residents who sit in on all HCS board budget meetings from mid-November through January and engage first hand in the budget process and provide input as the board develops the annual school budget. The HCS board is planning to have 5 budget buddies again this year. If you are interested in being one, please let me know. If there are more interested individuals than slots available, the board will seek to form a group of budget buddies that best represent our community.
