Goals of this meeting: Committee clarification regarding supervisory union duties and responsibilities as they are affected by a "side by side" RED merger; committee clarification of our collective thinking regarding school board composition and district finances.

6:00 - Agenda revisions

6:01 - Approval of previous minutes

6:02 - Public and committee comment

6:10 - Supervisory union duties and responsibilities

The committee will hear from the Superintendents and Business Manager regarding the effects of a "side by side" merger on the duties and responsibilities of the SU. The committee will clarify for further action any areas the committee feels need to be addressed.

6:40 - New district school board composition

The committee will review and confirm the desired composition of the proposed school board.

7:00 - District finances

The committee will discuss and clarify as needed for further action the committee's thinking regarding district finances to include the effect of merger on tax rates, property merger and assumption of long term debt.

8:00 - Adjournment

Future items: Continue development of merger report proposal. Meeting with Orange/Washington to ascertain intended dates of merger report submission and date district becomes operational.
