A free seminar for anyone wishing to support a family living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Gain a general understanding of living with T1D and be aware of what questions to ask in order to keep a child living with T1D safe.
This seminar is led by Nancy Wagner, Copley Hospital's certified diabetes educator, and will cover basic information, including:
-What is T1D and how it affects the body
-What to serve for snacks and meals
-Signs and symptoms of low or high blood sugar and how to respond
-Exercise and T1D
-What may be included in a T1D toolkit.
