Essex Rescue Open House

Essex Rescue is hosting a community Open House Saturday, October 22 from 10am-2pm. The public is invited to visit our headquarters for refreshments, tours of our facility and vehicles, including our brand-new ambulance!

Visitors will have access to explore our ambulances and equipment, with members on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations. Fire trucks, police cars and other apparatus will be on display courtesy of our emergency services partners -- Essex Fire Department, Essex Junction Fire Department, Vermont State Police and others!

Come and check out video footage of our response to a real emergency. Learn about the Mountain Rescue program and opportunities. Learn about our First Responder program and how it allows us to respond quickly to emergencies anywhere in our service area. Chat with our EMTs about what it takes to be an Essex Rescue member and the rewards of volunteering.

Enjoy pancakes, popcorn, snacks and beverages. Meet our EMTs and learn about exciting opportunities!

Essex Rescue, Inc. is a licensed advanced life support ambulance service that responds to more than 2,000 calls a year in Essex, Essex Junction, Underhill, Jericho and Westford. Our active roster consists of more than 60 volunteer members and a four-person career staff, all of whom have been trained at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT (AEMT) or Paramedic level.
