OLLI Presents Rick Winston on Films Based on Novels of Henry James

The fall session of the Central Vermont Osher Life-long Learning Institute (OLLI) continues on Wednesday, December 7 at 1:30 pm at the Savoy Theater, Main Street Montpelier. Well known film maven, historian, and author Rick Winston will present the second of a three-part series of films based on novels of Henry James.

Though Henry James (1843-1916) is considered to be a challenging prose stylist, several excellent films have been adapted from his works. This week we will see The Innocents from 1961. This psychological thriller is based on the novella, Turn of the Screw, and stars Deborah Kerr and Michael Redgrave.

The remaining film in the series is The Bostonians and will be shown on December 14.

If you have not already registered for the entire fall series, you may register for the remaining films for $8 apiece.
