December Update: As we approach the dark season's apex, the Central and Main project on Main Street in Windsor is dried-in. With the building shell completed sufficiently to keep out wind, rain, or the weather in general, crews can now focus on insulation and interior finishes. We are pleased to be hearing from community members who wish to be on a contact list to receive updates about the application and lease up schedule. To receive these updates, contact Deb Gelsi of Stewart Property Management 802-674-9455, dgelsi@stewartproperty.net
We're eager to share this wonderful footage captured via drone from the General Contractor, Neagely and Chase of the construction this fall in downtown Windsor: https://vimeo.com/1033544625/0534017813?share=copy

The State is launching a program to help Vermonters purchase affordable homes. Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP) makes mobile homes available for sale at-cost to eligible low- and middle-income homebuyers. To date, MHIP has identified 57 lots at parks in Bennington, Brattleboro, Westminster, Springfield, Braintree, Milton, Morristown, Coventry, and St. Johnsbury that can accommodate new homes.
MHIP is only available to current Vermont residents. Potential homebuyers can take two important steps now to prepare for the start of MHIP registration on November 1:
1) Determine if you are eligible. In addition to being a Vermont resident, registrants must earn 120% or less of the Area Median Income in the county where they currently reside (for Windsor County this is $84,480 or less for an individual, $120,600 or less for family of 4), not in the county where they wish to purchase a MHIP home.
2) Get prequalified. This step involves going to a lending institution and supplying them with your financial information. If the lending institution sees fit, it will issue you a pre-qualification letter that provides prospective buyers with a range of how much they can spend on a home. Please note: this is different than obtaining a mortgage. That step comes later in the process.
Starting November 1, interested homebuyers can visit the MHIP website and register by filling out an Interest and Eligibility Form, see a sample Purchase and Sale Agreement, and learn about the timeline and next steps in the homebuying process.
To be fully prepared with homebuying information and supported by a HUD certified counselor, we recommend participating the Homebuyer Workshop: https://www.homemattershere.org/how-to-buy-a-home/
