A TASTE OF SYRIA Hello Adventurous Foodie Friends! This week, we offer you a choice of meat or vegetarian entrees, as well as an A La Carte menu of scrumptious side dishes, with love, from our kitchens to yours…. Entree: Roasted Chicken with Clementines & Arak Chicken marinated in date liquor, citrus, mustard, thyme & fennel, served over rice. Vegetarian Entree: Fatteh Herb roasted eggplant, garlic & chickpea dish topped with parsley & pine nuts, served with homemade pita & yogurt sauce…which makes it, essentially, Levantine nachos! Side dish: Tabouleh salad Parsley, mint, tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, bulgur wheat & lemon olive oil Side dish: Muhammara A roasted red pepper dip, with walnut, tahini & lemon, served with pomegranate molasses and homemade chips. Dessert: Asafiri Springy, fluffy pancakes filled with baked crème and topped with pistachios, served with an orange blossom sweet syrup. Hello Adventurous Foodie Friends! This week, we offer you a choice of meat or vegetarian entrees, as well as an A La Carte menu of scrumptious side dishes, with love, from our kitchens to yours….

Entree: Roasted Chicken with Clementines & Arak
Chicken marinated in date liquor, citrus, mustard, thyme & fennel, served over rice.

Vegetarian Entree: Fatteh
Herb roasted eggplant, garlic & chickpea dish topped with parsley & pine nuts, served with homemade pita & yogurt sauce…which makes it, essentially, Levantine nachos!

Well, hello there, adventurous foodie friends! This week we bring you a Taste of the Philippines, and next week, it's all about Syria! By special request, we are bringing back our a la carte menu in addition to our regular 4-course meals: Bihon Pancit, vermicelli noodles with chicken & veggies in a sweet & savory sauce Lumpia, spring rolls with veggies, shrimp & dipping sauce Sinigang na hipon, savory shrimp soup with veggies Cassara bibingka cake with yucca & a creamy custard coconut topping And, as always, a fabulous selection of breads and bagels and crackers baked fresh for you Friday morning! POLISH EASTER 4 COURSE MEAL, FUNDRAISER FOR UKRAINE Hello Lovely People! First, a gigantic thank you goes out to our guest chef, Józef Eller, for his fantastic French menu last week. He received the ravest of rave reviews from our foodies of discerning palates, and he truly put his heart into this meal. Thank you, Józef! We hope you will come back to our little village soon and share your magic! Secondly, this week we will be hosting another fundraiser for Ukraine. In honor of the country who has stepped up and absorbed millions of displaced people, and to be served on Good Friday and the first Seder of Passover, we offer you a traditional Polish Easter 4 course dinner. (We've included the translations for fun and editorial spice, not that we can actually pronounce them ourselves)! Proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders & the International Relief Fund. Secondly, this week we will be hosting another fundraiser for Ukraine. In honor of the country who has stepped up and absorbed millions of displaced people, and to be served on Good Friday and the first Seder of Passover, we offer you a traditional Polish Easter 4 course dinner. (We've included the translations for fun and editorial spice, not that we can actually pronounce them ourselves)! Proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders & the International Relief Fund. Thank you to chef Ross and Baker Erika for donating your time and talent to make this happen. It truly takes a village….thank you all for your orders! We have to cap it at 40 meals, so please order early at http://WallingfordMarket.com before 6pm on Tuesday. Thank you!

A TASTE OF POLAND, a 4-course meal, $35
The Bread: Bialys Lubelskie Cebularze, a Polish onion and poppy seed roll
The Soup: Barszcz Czysty Czerwony, a vegetarian soup with a beet base, potatoes, carrots & dill
The Main Course: Ryba po Grecku , 6oz white fish sauteed in lemon butter with a side of seasoned carrot, parsnip, celeriac & tomato
The Dessert: Perogies! One sweet cheese & one blueberry with lavender and lemon notes!

And as always, an extensive variety of fresh baked breads and bagels at your fingertips, baked fresh Friday mornings. They will probably still be hot when you pick them up!
