VTSU's Center for Agriculture and Food Entrepreneurship serves as a hub for agricultural, food, and forest programming. We aim to foster community engagement and support Vermont-based agricultural, food, and forestry operations by offering a variety of trainings led by local experts. Our goal is to equip interested folks with the skills and knowledge necessary to uphold the stewardship of our land and trades.

The training costs $445 and covers MIG, STICK, and TIG welding techniques with hands-on instruction. You'll learn about different metals, proper tank setup, identifying quality welds, and recognizing defects. The course also includes training on using a plasma cutter for precise metal cutting. You will create a small project as part of this training, with the suggested completion of a rocket stove. All materials are provided.
