The Commons

The Commons, one of the first nonprofit newspapers in the country, began publishing monthly in 2006 and expanded to weekly in 2010.

The Commons covers Windham County, Vermont. Through in-depth reporting, commentary, coverage of government, sports, education, and the arts, the paper goes beyond the 24-hour news cycle to provide readers with a better understanding of the people, places and activities that make up their community. The paper is available each Wednesday free of charge at 260 locations in 32 towns throughout Windham County and online at www.commonsnews.org.
