Upwards of 13,000 Vermonters have Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia and more than 26,000 friends and family are providing care.

There has never been a more important time to combat this deadly disease. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Join artist and Alzheimer's Association staff partner Kirk Rankin this April for a 4-week dementia art class at the Shelburne Craft School!

Students & care partners will join artist Kirk Rankin for the opportunity to explore their connection to dementia through watercolor, collage, and mosaics.

Students & care partners will join artist Kirk Rankin for the opportunity to explore their connection to dementia through watercolor, collage, and mosaics.

This class provides an emotionally safe environment, sensitive to the needs of students and care partners. No experience is necessary, all supplies will be provided. This class is appropriate for people with earlier-stage dementia who may attend with or without a care partner.

Those living with later-stage dementias are welcome to participate if accompanied by a care partner.

Classes will be held on Monday, April 1, 15, 22, and 29 from 10 am to noon at the Shelburne Craft School, 64 Harbor Rd, Shelburne. Class will not be held on April 8th.

Join us for a free, virtual conference on March 1-2 for those living with Alzheimer's and dementia and their families. Sessions will feature notable guest speakers and include a panel of persons living with early-stage dementia.

We will be offering live, simultaneous Spanish interpretation during the conference using Zoom's built-in interpretation feature. Attendees can click the globe-shaped "Interpretation" icon in Zoom during the conference to select Spanish and hear the interpretation.... read more ▼
