About

The Unitarian Church of Montpelier is a liberal religious community that is open to all. We gather on the basis of shared hopes rather than a creed which all must profess. As Unitarian Universalists, we recognize and celebrate that different beliefs and religious traditions are inspired by common hopes, share many common values and goals, and can, separately and together, guide our way to the common good. The spirit of our living tradition is embodied in the seven principles and six sources of Unitarian Universalism. Our mission statement reminds us why we come together and of some of the most important values that we share:

We welcome all
as we build a loving community
to nurture each person’s spiritual journey,
serve human need,
and protect the earth, our home.

July 10, One Year Later: Interfaith Service of Remembrance and Healing

The July 2023 flood left an indelible mark on our community and each of us. We gather on the one year anniversary to remember, find solace, share gratitude, and prepare our spirits for the days ahead. Anyone in the community is welcome to participate. The service will take place outdoors. In case of inclement weather, the service will move indoors to the UCM sanctuary. All are welcome.
