Cellist Suzanne Smith founded cellochan in 1992 in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2016 she moved to Vermont and now performs with Vermont Virtuosi, as Principal cellist of the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra, and teaches privately offering chamber music coaching and private cello lessons.

Hi all, summer festival application season is upon us and I want to draw your attention to the CelloChanWoods retreat for cellists in Vermont, from July 20 to 26, 2024.

The retreat focuses on removing tension in playing, better connection to the artistic voice, and creative practicing. Body-Mind integration and meditation are taught by Cellist, and Zen practitioner, Suzanne Smith. The daily schedule includes chamber music, beginning improvisation class, daily lessons, and more.
