hi friends,

my name is amber and i am one of the collaborative directors of SUSU commUNITY farm. i hope that you are well and feeling nourished this season. i am reaching out to you because at some point you signed up for our volunteer list. volunteer's are absolutely crucial to the success of our farm and our ability to dream into being new worlds here at SUSU. currently we are in a space where we are desperately in need of some extra support. we are short staffed this year and have begun to build some new beds on the land to meet the growing needs of our box of resilience csa program where we currently serve almost 60 incredibly wonderful families through our box of resilience csa program.

are you able to come volunteer on our land this season? currently we have open volunteer hours tuesdays and wednesdays from 7am-6pm. if these days and times don't work for you and you are available another day of the week/weekend that would be very helpful too and we could check in to make sure you have all that you need to plug in as we will be less available to work alongside you on days outside of tuesdays and wednesdays but would also welcome the extra support any day monday-sunday. also don't forget! your volunteer hours at SUSU work as co op hours for the brattleboro food co op!

some of the tasks we really need help with are;
weeding
laying wood chips
fixing irrigation staples
laying out landscape fabric
building new compost beds
planting seeds
fertilizing plants with fish emulsion
planting sweet potatoes
harvesting
laying straw
building tasks
administrative tasks like (volunteer outreach, volunteer management, flyer hanging, csa coordination prep tasks)
organizing our shed space
organizing storage spaces
and so many other things!

if you are interested in volunteering with us please fill out this low tek spreadsheet we are using to track whose coming when, until we have a more streamlined system:-) or you can respond to this email to check in with me or text me at 80
