This week we are offering any of our Astilbe plants at a 25% discount. Most of these plants are mature size that would fill a 10-12 inch pot, ready to bloom at the end of June. Colors range from deep red, bright pink, soft pink and white.
At Story Road Nursery we pot-to-order, keeping the plants in the garden to developed the healthy root system that support the best growth. Soils are managed organically using our own compost and mulched with hardwood leaves from the paths in our forest.

The following blooms of the week are discounted 25% until Friday, June 10th.
Lemon Lily: Our earliest daylily to bloom, the Lemon Lily (Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus) is a very old favorite in homesteads around these parts. It blooms a 4" classic flower standing around 30" with thin grass-like leaves.
Bigroot Geraniums: We have 2 beautiful varieties of Geranium macrorrhizum in bloom right now: a tall light pink variety with white centers standing 30"; and 'Bevan's Variety' boasting 1" magenta flowers standing 18" tall. Bigroot geraniums will slowly creep, making them a good choice for creating a substantial ground covers.
Mountain Bluet: Also called Batchelor Buttons (Centaurea montana), this standard bearer of the northern perennial garden is showing off its 2" deep blue flowers, standing 18-24" tall. Theses flowers rebloom when dead-headed through the season.

Our celebrity flower of the week is Polemonium, or Jacob's Ladder. We have several species that will grace your garden border with May blooms of blue or purple. Jacob's Ladder is an easy plant to care for and works well in sun or shady conditions.
