Social Tinkering is 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Rutland, VT. Our mission is to reduce and heal social isolation and loneliness by intentionally growing meaningful connections and compassionate belonging. Authentic social connection inside each of us and between us, is the key to healing loneliness, our communities, and our world. We work on creating new and inclusive, welcoming ways for people to meet people, a place where people can come to hang out and socialize, and practice connecting and making friends. Our work builds awareness of the need for meaningful connection, offers educational discussions and group learning opportunities, and facilitates collaborative actions that remove the many complex barriers that are leading to the epidemic of loneliness and impacting us and our communities. Grounded in global research and our team's life experiences with isolation and loneliness, we collaborate with partners near and far to blast away the barriers and help people to meaningfully connect.
