We are a group of Shelburne, Vermont community members bringing alive the history and cultural heritage of Shelburne because we believe an understanding of the past enriches lives and builds better communities.

We do this by collecting, preserving, cataloging, interpreting, publishing, exhibiting, and presenting materials relating to the history of our town.

Brian Knight, Architectural Historian and Preservation Planner will trace the history of the Shelburne Shipyard from the earliest steamboats through WWII manufacture of subchasers to the recent investigations of shipwrecks in Shelburne Harbor.

Laz will present a historical review of the Shelburne Railroad Station, Dr. Webb's involvement in it and how it influenced the design of other Rutland Railroad Train Stations.

A new way of seeing Shelburne history through the newly launched on-line resource "Historic Shelburne" presented by David Boucher, SHS Collections Chair.

Join us when we share a detective story, discovering a lost family farm. Then we will introduce you to the newly launched "Historic Shelburne" pictorial website, where we will present the first of many stories about how Shelburne developed as our home and community.
