Science Of StretchingTM is a targeted mobility training method that helps with stiff backs, locked up hips, tight hamstrings, and rigid shoulders. ,These classes usually begin to deliver increased flexibility fairly quickly. Our goal is a functional range of motion. You will use three main principles: 1) muscles stretch best when relaxed. So to train for flexibility, you relax into the stretch as much as possible. 2) controlled breathing turns down the (anti) stretch reflex and lessens muscle tension. Fifty percent of flexibility gains come via your nervous system! 3) a pivotal factor for flexibility is learning the optimum time to spend in each deep pose.
