Feeling the heaviness of life these days? Uncertainty and anxiety from an endless stream of current political, environmental, and social events and crises, all during the darkest and coldest days of the year. Feeling the heaviness of life these days? Uncertainty and anxiety from an endless stream of current political, environmental, and social events and crises, all during the darkest and coldest days of the year. And that's not even taking into account the difficult and often painful circumstances we navigate in our individual lives on top of all of those things. Job stress, relationships, specific life crises, grief, and so much more...many of us are navigating the deep waters of depression, anxiety, and an untold number of other mental and emotional health concerns. Perhaps you've experienced trauma, or are in a difficult relationship. Maybe for you, it's simply been an experience of feeling sad, disconnected, worried, or "out of it." Your story is yours, and it's unique. But no matter what our individual story is, we usually want the same things: Freedom. Peace. Healing.

Psychotherapy can help achieve this, and can be a profound support during challenging or difficult times. It can be a wonderful place to process and untangle the anxiety and depression that so many of us are feeling given the current state of the world. So, I'm just posting a brief announcement for anyone who has been thinking about going to therapy recently...Rooted Way Counseling is located just a few minutes away from downtown Richmond, right on West Main Street, in the Fieldstone building. There are currently openings for new clients who are longing to experience healing, wholeness, and growth in life. The spots available are for individual therapy clients.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of Vermont, and have been practicing for six years. While I've worked with a very broad range of clients, my specialties are women and women's issues, trauma-informed therapy, and spirituality-integrated therapy. If you'd like more information, feel free to check out my website at www.rootedwaycounseling.com, email me at alyssa@rootedwaycounseling.com, or give me a call at (802)349-1309. I'd love to book a free phone consultation with you to see if we'd be a good fit for each other!
