Job Responsibilities:
Daily tasks vary by season and the general expectations are as follows:
Plant new annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees
Maintain gardens and lawns, including trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding
Operate gardening equipment and machinery, such as trimmers and leaf blowers
Monitor and maintain the health of plants
Prune & trim trees and shrubs
Edge, mulch, and compost garden beds
Build and renovate small stone pathways and other landscape features
Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles

Hours, Location and Pay Rate:
The work day is Monday - Friday, from 8am-4:30pm. The landscaping season typically begins in the first week of April and runs through the second week of November, weather dependent. We work at various job sites in Woodstock, Pomfret, Barnard, and surrounding towns.
Pay is based upon experience beginning at $22/hr.

Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from the crew leaders and clients
Ability to use equipment such as leaf blowers, and trimmers
Ability to lift 40 pounds and handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, kneeling, bending, lifting, and pulling, for extended periods of time
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Communicates effectively
Attention to detail
Works well independently and with a team
Has reliable transportation to get to and from job sites each day
Desire to learn about regenerative and sustainable landscaping practices
